About us
Heart Clinic is an independent outpatient cardiology clinic with practice locations in Moraira and Jávea. The practice is deliberately small-scale, with attention to careful listening, clear explanation and enough time for each patient.
Dr Marco de Vaan
Dr Marco de Vaan is an experienced cardiologist with more than 28 years of experience in the Netherlands and Spain. Since 1 June 2022 he has been working on the Costa Blanca.
In the Netherlands he practised cardiology across the full breadth of the specialty in several large hospitals, with particular attention to rhythm disorders, heart failure and sports cardiology. He brings this experience to the care at Heart Clinic.
Time for a good consultation
Good treatment starts with a careful consultation. That is why I take the time for your symptoms, medical history, risk profile and possible hereditary factors.
I find it important that you can tell your story calmly and receive clear explanations about examinations, diagnosis and next steps. The women’s heart is also a specific area of attention within the clinic.
Marion de Vaan-Klapper
Marion de Vaan-Klapper is an experienced nurse. She started her career in academic hospitals as a general nurse and later worked as an intensive care nurse. She gained experience in three cardiac surgery centres.
After her clinical period, she set up the heart failure outpatient clinic in Flevoland. She then worked for many years in primary care, holding consultations for cardiovascular risk management, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and diabetes mellitus.
Within Heart Clinic she focuses on chronic care with special attention to cardiology.
